How to get to Bequia

Since St. Vincent & The Grenadines do not have a big international airport, you have to make your way by the neighboring islands like Barbados, St. Lucia or Martinique. The flight costs are about € 800 from Europe.  (Caribbean map)

The island state of St. Vincent & The Grenadines is located about 10 flight hours from middle Europe. From Germany only Condor offers weekly direct connections to Grenada or Barbados (best connecting flights to St. Vincent and The Grenadines).

From here you continue in a prop airliner of a Caribbean airline. E.g. either by Mustique Airways directly to Bequia or at a lower price by LIAT to Kingstown, St. Vincent (approx. 150 Euro) and then to Port Elizabeth by ferry (about 5 Euro). The passage takes one hour and is the perfect way to get yourself into the right mood for your Caribbean holiday.

Travel season & weather

The climate is tropical with temperatures between 23°C and 31°C, water temperature 25°C to 28°C. Best travel season and High Season are the months with few rain December to May. During the rest of the year, in the Low Season, the climate is more unsettled and humid, although there can be long sunny periods too. Hurricane season is from July to October. Luckily St. Vincent & The Grenadines are at the southern edge of the Caribbean hurricane-belt and the island has not been hit significantly for the last 40 years. Most tropical storms flash by north.
